Advent Retreat

An Advent Retreat will be offered for the English-speaking Mission Friday 4 December - Sunday 6 December with Father Lenfers as retreat leader. The retreat will be hosted by the Benedictine convent of Alexanderdorf , which is about half an hour south of Berlin.


Restrictions on Public Masses - Failure to comply will lead to a suspension of Masses

Holy Masses will continue to be celebrated under certain restrictions to ensure that hygiene requirements are observed, which will impact the maximum number of congregants to be admitted. Failure to comply with these regulations will lead to a suspension of Masses!

The English-speaking Mission will be offering one Sunday Mass at All Saints, two Sunday Masses at St. Bernard's and two Sunday Masses at St. Elisabeth's. Members of the All Saints their community's office to register for Mass.

The celebration of Mass in English at the Catholic Academy continues to be suspended due to the COVD-19 pandemic. However, Fr. Leo Penta will be offering a livestream Mass at 13:00 h CET for community members to access: please contact Fr. Penta  at  penta@commorg.onmicrosoft.com to learn how to gain access.

Instructions for St. Bernard's:

The maximum number of congregants permitted at St. Bernard's Church is 55! Anyone who wishes to attend Holy Mass at St. Bernard's must sign up using the links in the section above.

Please note: your pre-registration for 11 am Mass will expire if you arrive at Mass later than 11:00 h. Your space will be given to parishioners who are waiting to enter without a registration. BE ON TIME!

Meanwhile, the Archbishop's dispensation concerning Catholics' obligation to attend Sunday Mass continues to hold for the time being.Because of the restrictions placed on the number of participants for liturgies, it is unlikely that everyone will be able to attend Mass every Sunday, and so prayer at home is encouraged.

Holy Mass via Livestream

The English Speaking Catholic Mission is expanding its outreach to those who are unable to attend Mass because of CoVid risk or other health challenges by offering a Holy Mass each Sunday that is available through videoconferencing.

The Mass will be celebrated from the Blessed Sacrament Chapel at All Saints and participants will be able not only to follow the Mass, but also see and interact with each other as well as sing along at home with the musical accompaniment of our volunteer musicians. The scheduled time starting October 11th is 16:30 h CET.

Those who are already on the mailing list will receive the log-in information with the usual weekly e-mail reminder. Additional Weekday Masses at St. Bernard's

Beginning in October, Holy Mass will be offered Tuesday-Friday evenings at 19:00 h at St. Bernard's.

Monday Rosary

Please join us in praying the Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Mondays at 8 pm (St. Bernard's Church).

Christian Literature Club Meeting

The Christian Literature Club will be meeting on October 30th after 19:00 h Holy Mass (meeting to begin ca. 20.00 h) in the St. Bernard's parish hall. The meeting will be led by Father Lenfers and will focus on "Fratelli Tutti: On Fraternity and Social Friendship". Pope Francis’s third encyclical is inspired by the life and example of St Francis of Assisi, his love for the poorest and his openness to all, and was completed during the global Coronavirus pandemic.

All Souls' Day Mass

Holy Mass will be offered for the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed (All Souls' Day) on November 2nd, 19:00 h at St. Bernard's Church.

The celebration will be followed by Adoration and Benediction.
